Design, strategy and content production for brands that care how they show up, built by a small studio working with clients across South Africa and beyond.
Saccade Collective is a social media content agency, which in practice means we plan, design and produce the Instagram grids, campaigns and visual systems that brands actually live inside week to week. Some projects start with a full system built from the ground up, colours and type and templates and all, and others are an ongoing partnership where we plan your content together every month and make sure it keeps looking like it belongs to you. Either way, we treat your feed the way we would treat our own, with proper thought behind every layout, every colour choice and every caption, because we know that whoever scrolls past it is only going to give it a fraction of a second to earn their attention.
Our name comes from a saccade, which is the quick flick of the eye as it jumps from one point of focus to the next, and happens to be the fastest movement the human body makes. It is also, more or less, how long someone spends deciding whether to keep looking at a post before their thumb carries on scrolling. We find that idea rather lovely instead of stressful, because it means the work does not need to shout to be noticed. It only needs to be considered enough to hold that first moment, and then the next one, and the one after that.
We work with founder-led brands across beauty, wellness, hospitality, fashion and lifestyle, based here in South Africa and increasingly further afield too. Because most of the people we work with built their brand themselves, from nothing, we tend to work closely and informally, more like a creative partner who also happens to handle production than a distant agency sending over decks and disappearing until the next invoice. We care about how the work turns out in the same way you do, and that shows up in the small things: the caption rewritten a third time until it sounds like you, the grid rearranged the night before it goes live, the extra hour spent double-checking a colour against your own product photography.
If any of that sounds like the kind of collaborator you have been looking for, we would genuinely love to hear from you. Send us a note, tell us a little about your brand and where it is headed, and we will find a proper time to talk it all through, no pressure and nothing to fill in first.
